I lost yesterday

I'm not sure what happened to it. I had such plans. I even got up early. But the next thing I knew, poof! It was gone. I didn't go to the post office. I didn't go to the grocery store. I didn't post in my blog.

Most of the afternoon was taken up with the beginnings of moving the Threads board home to our server here, but it didn't take the whole day to do the pittance I did with that, did it? Sigh.

Berroco news

I miss getting the Berroco newsletters in the mail. On paper. Nice, glossy paper with photos that I could touch and hold. But these email ones are fun in their own way. And there are more of them. Today's is fun. They have this new yarn called, Trilogy. It's three different yarns held together: "a strand of a fulled bourette, a ribbon, and two cotton components all held parallel with an invisible nylon binder." Knits up on size nine needles. I like this brown color. Some of the patterns are nice, too.

And then there's the Ultra Alpaca yarn. Where's that drooling emoticon? Yum. I love alpaca. Just love it. It's so soft and light. My favorite sweater is one I knit with an alpaca-wool blend, and it's light as air, and super warm. This stuff from Berroco comes in fifty colors. My favorite pattern in their new booklet is the one for the knit skirt. I don't know about you, but when I worked in San Francisco, I always relished the cold days that I got to wear the one knit skirt that I owned. So warm and cozy. Yum.
